You are looking at a model of the Solar System. The size of each planet is to scale, and the timing of the orbits is to time scale, relatively speaking. In reality the orbits move counter-clockwise around the Sun, so imagine you're looking at this diagram upside down. The center Sun is not to scale, in order to fit all orbits on the screen, but a to-scale sun is in the upper right hand corner for reference. The planets are also much farther away from one another, duh.
